My first release on vinyl was in 1995.
Since then I have been working across many genres, following a common theme from the early rave days. Sometimes with banging kick drums and at other points with breakbeats.
My three main aliases have been:
Jon Doe where I influenced the hard house edged scene towards trance.
Peacemaker, with my first release on Chew the Fat records, played by Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Seb Fontaine on Radio1
and CLSM where I now make breakbeat/ drum and bass but started off as a Hardcore rave outfit.
Outside making and djing the music, I have been passionate about pushing music to new areas. In 2003 I started a successful campaign to get Hard Dance and Hardcore on Radio1. This resulted in Kutski being on Radio1 for 10 years, including a weekly show.
I also created a dance music TV show for Drum and Bass, Hardcore, Hard Dance and Old Skool on Rapture TV (Sky) with Andrew Backinsell.
My music and video has let me work closely with many interesting people over the years including Billy 'Daniel' Bunter who must have a special mention as we produced so many records together on Uk Hard, Honeypot, Toast, Chunk and remixing for big labels. Our single releases (although not intended to) went inside the national top 100 chart.
I love music but I can never guarantee where I will end up in the scene next. At the moment I do a lot of Mastering work and have a keen interest in new genres which sometimes cover ground which I love and have previously worked in.
